The upcoming Crunchyroll Games title One Punch Man: World has received an action-packed new trailer that captures the essence of the source material.

Today, a new gameplay trailer for One Punch Man: World has been revealed by Crunchyroll Games and developers Perfect World at gamescom. The trailer is packed with references to the series’ incredibly well-received first season, including a tidbit of Saitama’s (the One Punch Man himself) origin story with the vile Crablante. A myriad of Heroes from the Hero Association also seem to make an appearance and are playable. Of course, this includes the cybernetic Saitama apprentice Genos. The trailer can be seen below.

The Heroes aren’t the only thing driving the new title. There are instantly recognizable villains to face off against in One Punch Man: World. Crablante, Subterranean King, Vaccine Man, Mosquito Girl, Beast King, and Carnage Kabuto can all be seen in the trailer, and the villains haven’t been confirmed as unplayable yet, so fans wishing to take up the mantle of some of Saitama’s fiercest and quickly dispatched opponents may still be in luck. The trailer includes the face-off between Genos and Mosquito Girl, but it remains to be seen if the player can influence the canonic outcome or not.

The playable Heroes revealed in the trailer are Atomic Samurai, Genos, Golden Ball, Lightning Max, Mumen Rider, Puri-Puri Prisoner, and Speed-O-Sound Sonic. Unfortunately, missing from this list is the fan-favourite Tornado of Terror and Silver Fang, but the current roster could be incomplete, or these characters can be announced at a later date for One Punch Man: World.

While there is a playable demo for those attending Gamescom 2023 at the One Punch Man: World booth (B-031 – Hall 6), fans shouldn’t have to wait much longer for the title to drop as Perfect World has suggested the title will launch sometime in 2023 for PC, Android and iOS, and it features seamless cross-progression. Fans can stay keyed into new updates by following the official Crunchyroll Games X account.
