With Overwatch 2 nearing release, the team at Blizzard has confirmed its ambitious plans for the game, revealing a road map that confirms the new content fans can look forward to in the months ahead.

Overwatch fans have been eagerly awaiting new updates for the last few years. Today it seems the highly anticipated Overwatch 2 is finally on the horizon! Early access releases on October 4, just in time for Season 1. This season comes with three new heroes, Sojourn, Junker Queen, and an as-of-yet unannounced support hero. First revealed back in 2019, Sojourn is a damage hero that players got a chance to play during the first Overwatch 2 beta. Junker Queen is a tank hero whose debut was at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase and gave a taste of the feel of the new instalment and the world around it.

Get ready for an action-packed year in Overwatch 2 as Season 1 will bring six new maps, the new Push game mode, over 30 new skins—including a brand new Mythic Skin with customizable elements. Plus, get ready for Season 2 starting on December 6 with a new Tank hero, map, 30+ more skins, another new Mythic Skin, and a Battle Pass. In the seasons to come, expect a new hero every other season and a new map in the in-between seasons.

Overwatch 2‘s plans for 2023 include a lot of new content to keep players engaged. New heroes, maps, and game modes will be released throughout the year, along with over 100 new skins. The most anticipated addition is the PvE mode, which will be released in seasonal content pieces. This story mode has been highly requested by the community since the first game launched.
