PlayStation Plus Tier Relaunch is Now Live, Here's How to Get into it and What You're Getting at Each Level

It feels like a long time coming but Sony’s 2022 refresh of its almost 12-year-old subscription service, PlayStation Plus is now live. The relaunch combines the service and PlayStation Now into one service at different tiers while giving subscribers some additional benefits depending on what level they are subscribed at.

The overhaul to the service was rumoured for more than a year as ‘Spartacus’ and speculation was that it was built as a competitor to Microsoft’s own game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass. The remodelled version of PlayStation Plus was officially confirmed back in late March by Sony with a breakdown of each of the tiers and benefits.

In order to subscribe to the “new” PlayStation Plus just subscribe to it like normal on your PlayStation console of choice (PS4 or PS5) or on your PC browser but this time around with a choice of three subscriptions tiers. The first tier is PlayStation Plus is “essentially” the PlayStation Plus that came before, but the other two higher tiers are where the “extra premium” value of the service comes into play. Anyone who subscribed at these levels will get a huge catalogue of first-party/third-party titles and so much more at the highest level.

Check below for a breakdown of each tier and what you’re getting.

  • Exclusive discounts
