CES 2022 has hosted some incredible technology advances this year and Razer didn’t let their fans down with their latest offerings.
Although there has already been the exciting Blade laptop and Razer x Fossil Gen 6 Limited Smartwatch announcements, the lifestyle peripheral brand for gamers is still not finished, as there are still products to excite fans and press alike in celebration of CES 2022.
Much like Razercon 2021, there were many announcements from the technology company at CES 2022. New Year, same reliable company. There is also a live, in-person event to be held called RazerStore Live at their flagship location in Las Vegas on January 6 at 10 am PT to recap all the loaded information they have displayed for CES 2022.
But without further delay, here are the remaining announcements Razer had in store for CES 2022.
The Project Sophia is the globe’s first-ever modular gaming desk concept, which looks like it was ripped right out of Mass Effect. Imagine a desktop and a desk decided to have offspring. Sophia delivers the opportunity to customize your workspace further than ever before, with up to 13 separate modules that let the user personalize their workstation.
Vice President of Growth at Razer, Richard Hashim said “Project Sophia is our futuristic vision of a multi-purpose gaming and workstation set-up which meets the very different needs of a variety of PC uses, negating the need to move between workspaces,” calling it the “future of the battle station.”
The latest Intel processor and NVIDIA GPU are sheltered by the chassis of the desk that magnetically connects to the undercarriage of the tabletop, which caters to those who like to upgrade, simplistically.
The Enki Pro HyperSense
The latest in the Enki chair series, the Enki Pro HyperSense not only has the signature haptics HyperSense in its name, but it is also built into the mast of the captain’s seat. Based on the Enki Pro chair design, this new advancement allows for the maximum immersive capability these innovative products can give their customers.
President and CEO of D-BOX, Sébastien Mailhot said “With the Enki Pro HyperSense, Razer and D-BOX have built the most advanced gaming chair to date,” including “Our combined efforts have resulted in a product that physically transforms the experience of games, movies, and music through the use of cutting-edge high-fidelity haptic feedback. Razer’s unparalleled attention to detail and striking design, alongside D-BOX’s unmatched experience in haptic technology, is laying the groundwork for the next generation of innovative home entertainment.”
Although a release date announcement is still a ways off, these two peripherals can give the player more immersion than ever before, and together they can work with yet another new sharp announcement made today.
Razer Smart Home App
The expansion of the Chroma RGB which is featured in nearly every Razer product, comes the Smart Home App, allowing users to make their Smart Home functions cutting edge. The one-stop place for all smart apps can be found under this banner, along with working wonders alongside the Enki Pro HyperSense and, in the future, Project Sophia.
This takes out the app pollution featured on many technologically savvy users and gives one area for complete control. The app is a lifehack shortcut to Smart Home setup, creating a single ecosystem for the home.
Senior Vice President of Razer’s Hardware Business Unit, Alvin Cheung said “The future of smart home living has never looked this bright,” with also “Razer Chroma RGB has been a fan-favorite since its inception, and today Razer marries technology and functionality in the Razer Smart Home App, enabling users with complete creative control over their environment.”
RAzer also implemented the Chroma Smart Home Program, an invitation for other hardware companies from the smart home industry to join the vast Smart Home ecosystem, showing a willingness to partner in the aim to make users have less difficulty with setup. The program currently includes partners such as Nanoleaf, LIFX, Yeelight, and Twinkly but with the Smart Home Program, anyone could become one. The Razer Smart Home App and Chroma Smart Home Program are due to launch in the first half of 2022.
Razer Zephyr Pro
Following the announcement of the original Zephyr at Razercon 2021, this upgraded version called the Zephyr Pro includes all the construction of the original but features a voice amplifier, putting more capabilities in the smart mask. The amplification function assures users can understand each other without the worry of a muffled experience.
The original Zephyr specs can be found on their website, and the arrival date of the Zephyr Pro is still TBD.
