Capcom Gives Fans A Sneak Peek Of Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC

Today, Capcom unveiled the new Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC to the excitement of fans, and the DLC will feature heavy doses of the grappling gun-wielding Ada Wong.

The Resident Evil 4 DLC was revealed at the latest Sony State of Play in September 2023, and since then, Capcom has sought to continue building the hype for the new adventure set during the events of the main campaign. The story of Separate Ways details what goes on off-screen after Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong split up for the first time. Separate Ways was originally included in the base game as an extra mode, but it returns in the remake as an expanded story DLC. Fans will also be delighted to know her signature grappling gun will be featured as a gameplay mechanic. The trailer for the DLC can be seen below.

Ada Wong can utilize all of her abilities from the original Resident Evil 4 game. Like Leon, she can utilize melee attacks, parries, and other knife actions, as well as shoot, sneak and eviscerate enemies while sneaking around. The additional move set will give fans a new experience set in the world of Separate Ways, giving a fresh perspective on the Resident Evil 4 formula.

Along with Ada’s actions being crucial to the plot of Resident Evil 4 Remake, fans will see her in action as she meddles with the narrative by saving Leon with the church bell during the village attack and how she saves Leon at the hands of Jack Krauser. Ada Wong’s involvement with the plot of Resident Evil 4 is much more crucial than what is shown during the main narrative, and the new Separate Ways DLC shines a spotlight on an otherwise ‘side-kick role’ relegated character. The latest trailer showcasing the agent-in-action can be seen below.

Along with the Separate Ways DLC, Ada Wong and longstanding Resident Evil antagonist Albert Wesker make their way to the upcoming Mercenaries mode as playable characters as well. Fans can get ready to dive back into Resident Evil 4 with Separate Ways on September 21. Fans looking for more information can swing over to the Capcom website for more information.
