In addition, if you’re stumped on what to make, you can make your way over to the online section of the game and test out other players’ games to get some inspiration. You’ll also be able to share assets and unfinished projects for the very first time in the RPG Maker series! RPG Maker With is also set to feature a wealth of premade sample games and other assets to help you get your creation underway. Once you feel comfortable with that, you can also create your very own assets to put into your game or share them for others to use as well.

Developers Gotcha Gotcha Games, based in Tokyo, Japan, have shown their mettle in this area with previous titles such as RPG Maker, which was released originally in December of 1992, a staggering 32 years ago! the RPG Maker series has received a number of newer titles throughout the years: RPG Maker 95, RPG Maker 2000, RPG Maker XP, RPG Maker VX & VX Ace, and RPG Maker MV & MZ.

This pedigree should give RPG Maker fans plenty to be excited about in a few months when RPG Maker With is released on consoles (Switch, PS4, and PS5). However, no PC release date or version has been announced, so it remains to be seen if PC players will be able to put their creativity to the test and make their very own RPG with this latest iteration.
