Rumour: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Coming to Xbox One

It appears that Crash Bandicoot might be coming to Xbox One.

XboxAchievements recently discovered a video that featured the PlayStation 4 exclusive Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy running with the button layout used for the Xbox One. This suggested that the remastered titles might be making their way to the Xbox One or PC, starting a quickly spread rumor around the internet. The rumours are looking more and more likely now that retail listings of the Xbox One version of the trilogy have surfaced on Base.com, discovered by GameRant.

Developed by Vicarious Games and published by Activision, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 back in June. It featured a collection of the first the Crash Bandicoot titles: Crash BandicootCortex Strikes Back, and Warped. Along with completely remastered audio and cutscenes, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy features freshly recorded audio by past voice actors of the series. There are also new additions made across all three games such as unified checkpoints, pause menus and save systems. The N. Sane Trilogy allows players to play most levels as Crash’s sister, Coco. The game received favourable reviews from critics for its faithfulness to the original three games. Sales of the remastered trilogy have been surprisingly high, beating Horizon Zero Dawn as the best-selling exclusive launch of the year. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy also saw the biggest launch of a game in the first half of 2017.

While Activision hasn’t confirmed anything, this wouldn’t be Crash Bandicoot’s first time on the Xbox platform. Starting with the fourth entry in the series, Crash Bandicoot stopped being a PlayStation exclusive series. The last mainline Crash Bandicoot title, Crash: Mind Over Mutant, was released on Xbox 360 among a number of other consoles back in 2008.

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is currently available on PlayStation 4 digitally and retail.
