Sega has announced the full lineup coming to the Sega Genesis Mini 2, with the game list even including two previously unreleased titles.
While the full list includes 60 titles, the unreleased games are Devi & Pii and Star Mobile, two titles that sadly never saw the light of day. Sega released a lengthy trailer detailing every game on the system, which you can see below.
Devi & Pii was created in 1993 by Takashi Iizuka, the longtime head of Sonic Team, just before he worked on Sonic the Hedgehog 3. It’s described as a “paddle style game,” where the two main characters, Taro and Hanako, are turned into paddles and must rescue an angel named Pii, while the demon Devi attacks them.
Star Mobile, on the other hand, is a puzzle game developed by Mindware in 1992, the studio that worked on Streets of Rage 2. The puzzle game was completed at the time but never released. In Star Mobile, you drop weighted stars on a board and try to keep both sides of the scale even.
The Sega Genesis Mini releases on October 27, and will cost $99.99. The first Sega Genesis Mini was released in 2019 and featured 42 games.
