Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3: Vibin’ kicked off Sunday with a party full of new in-game map changes, skins, weapons and a new Battle Pass.
As the second season of chapter three in Fortnite concluded with Collision last Saturday, the Battle Royale island has become one ginormous party event. Chapter 3 Season 3: Vibin’ game update began on Sunday, June 5, 2022, bringing information on new map locations, Battle Pass details, iconic skins, weapons and special events. Let us just say, this update will be a literal rollercoaster ride!
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Map Changes
The latest location addition brought Reality Falls, well, into in-game reality with its natural beauty of luxurious forest environments described as being filled “with bouncy mushrooms, trees of purple, waterfalls, loot-filled caverns, and geysers players can spring from.” One of the coolest parts of this area has been the Reality Seed Pods that spread from the Reality Tree. The Pods could be planted to grow a Reality Sapling that offers players better loot the more it is weeded—the better the harvest, the higher the chances of picking out a Mythic weapon.
Rave Cave was another new location that has become a 24/7 nightclub after the Imagined Order were defeated, and their former command centre was left vacant. The new Fortnite location now contains glow sticks, toe-tapping music, and a dance floor where players can drop their best emotes and dance moves.
The Jurassic World-like Ballers have made a triumphant return as new vehicles on the Fortnite island. The hamster ball vehicle has returned with reworked features such as the ability to float on water and has now been limited to run on battery charge — keep an eye on that charge! To further enhance the experience of using the Ballers, an adrenaline-induced amusement park ride called the Screwballer has been added.
For a different experience, players can also mount animals such as wolves or boars, which can help players travel faster, and they will still be able to throw items and fire guns—chickens not included. Most of these animals are tamed like the mount in Elden Ring, except for the wolves who may prove to have some difficulty like with Striders in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Weapon Additions
Animals will not be the only thing to tame in this season of Fortnite as the Hammer Assault Rifle packs some heavy recoil but is super strong in long and close-range fights. For medium-range combat, the Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) will be the preferred choice. The Drum Shotgun has been vaulted for now, allowing the new Two-Shot Shotgun to shine as it will be able to deal two high-damage shots at a time, making close range fights a lot more interesting to say the least. There should be a powerful weapon for everyone’s tastes, covering the spectrum from handguns to sniper rifles and grenades.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 returning and vaulted weapons:
- Sidearm Pistol
- Auto Shotgun
- Striker Pump Shotgun
- Stinger SMG
- Combat SMG
- Ranger Assault Rifle
- Striker Burst Rifle
- Heavy Sniper Rifle
- Harpoon Gun
- Shadow Tracker (Exotic)
- Marksman Six Shooter (Exotic)
- The Dub (Exotic)

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass Skins
As frequent players should know, one of the most exciting aspects of Fortnite has been its cameos in the form of skins. This season’s Battle Pass will feature six original characters and two based on LucasFilms characters—from the Star Wars and Indiana Jones universes Evie, Snap, Adira, Stormfarer, Malik and Sabina are the game’s unique characters, and the special ones include Darth Vader and Indiana Jones, perfect timing with the currently ongoing Obi-Wan series airing and the new Indian Jones film being developed as revealed from Star Wars celebration.
This Fortnite season has shown its shenanigans side and I cannot wait to jump in and party with my crew. Stay tuned for more Fortnite updates as Chapter 3 is expected to run up until September, but for now, the summer jam will be kicking into high gear.
