Ninja Gaiden 3 will be more emotional and accessible

Ninja Gaiden 3 will be more emotional and accessible

The next Ninja Gaiden will add multiplayer to the franchise.

According to Yosuke Hayashi, the project leader on the game, Ninja Gaiden 3 will examine protagonist Ryu Hayabusa in a more meaningful way as a “dark Japanese hero” with his own feelings and thoughts.

“We are trying to take the violent concepts even deeper and make people realize how it feels to actually kill someone and what it is to actually gut someone,” said Hayashi in an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine. “It’s very important to us that people realize that violence is not only about blood and gore.”

Hayashi also added that there will be changes to the game’s design in order to make it more accessible to new players. The changes apparently won’t diminish the game’s notoriously tough difficulty curve, but Hayashi acknowledged that they are taking a “slightly different approach.”

As for the multiplayer, Hayashi didn’t give many details. He just said there will be a “complex multiplayer mode” that will presumably feature a lot of ninjas and swordplay.
