Alchemy Stars Announce Persona 5 Royal Crossover Event

The Phantom Thieves have found their way into the world of Alchemy Stars thanks to a limited-time Persona 5 Royal cross-over event this July.

Level Infinite, the publisher behind Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and Dune: Spice Wars along with developer TourDog Studio announced a limited crossover with the cast of Persona 5 Royal. Running later this July: the Phantom Thieves will be invading Alchemy Stars bringing players a new way to experience the iconic characters.

The Persona 5 Royal collaboration event brings several characters from the celebrated JRPG franchise into Alchemy Stars. Only by playing through the new story will fans discover the Phantom Thieves’ purpose in Astra. It seems this will also allow for new characters and more to be unlockable and purchasable for the duration of the event, which is planned for less than a month before its mysterious end date.

Alchemy Stars has merged medieval fantasy with a sci-fi aesthetic, adding a whole new realm to the game world. The game’s innovative combat blends RPG, deck building and strategy elements, making each battle a unique challenge. In Alchemy Stars, players can grow their collection of warriors by fusing together items or expeditions or unlock rare functionality through the in-game store. Alchemy Stars features match-3 gameplay that rewards players for matching the right attributes to create strong attacks and opportunities for extra damage on enemies.

There is no fixed date for when fans should expect the Persona 5 Royal crossover event to start, but with a late July release teased, it should not be long before you can enjoy some Phantom Thieve action in Alchemy Stars.

This is not the first time Alchemy Stars has seen a crossover, back in January 2022, the game saw a Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid event where players could add Tohru, Kanna, Lucoa, Elma, and Fafnir to their parties.

Alchemy Stars is currently available on Android and iOS, with Persona 5 Royal currently available on PlayStation 4 and will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 21, 2022, as was announced during Summer Game Fest.
