The studio is producing an anime adaptation of the PS2 JRPG.

We don’t know much, but we do know that an anime based on Atlus’ Persona 4 is officially on the way. The anime will be produced by Aniplex in conjunction with Atlus, and four of the original voice actors from the game will be returning for the adaptation.

Persona 4 (aka Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4) was originally released for the PS2 in 2008, and follows a high-school student who moves to the countryside and investigates mysterious murders while using the powers of Persona. The game also allowed players to enter an alternate “TV World” for the dungeon-crawling segments. I’ve never played the Persona games myself, but from what I’ve seen, it seems like a perfect candidate for an anime.
