The One Where Netflix Gives Away Tattoos

Netflix Offers FREE Geeked Ink Tattoos Next Week For Fans

Netflix has just opened the floodgates of promotion, as the streaming service has just announced a new Geeked Ink event that allows fans to get their favourite original series tattooed for FREE.

The streaming giant has kicked the promotional doors straight off its hinges, as they’ve just announced next week in collaboration with local tattoo shops around the US and Geeked Ink, that fans can grab tattoos from their favourite Netflix series for absolutely FREE. But there is a catch, fans have to select from the promotional flash available to each studio, which includes mainline bangers like Stranger Things and Ultraman. So those who want a tattoo of Arrested Development‘s banana stand — or the money allegedly hidden inside — are sadly out of luck. Some of the available flash tattoos can be seen below.

Launching with the moniker “Fandom is Forever,” the event runs from November 6 until November 12 and takes place in five separate major US cities, which is a bummer for fans outside of the US. To take part in a FREE tattoo there are two requirements, the first is to make it to one of the locations after securing a spot through the official link here, and the second is to be 18+ years old and have a valid legal photo ID on their person at the time of arrival.

Let’s be real. Normally for tattoo promotions (like the Diablo IV Hell’s Ink Tour) social media has a presence. The best promotion is permanent promotion, and the chances of Netflix taking photos for social media are almost certain. Fans should be wary that their likeness will likely spread in promotion of the event and Netflix’s original content.

Aside from Free Tattoos, Netflix is bringing back the rest of its Geeked Week, as it is Netflix’s in-house promotional event for news, sneak peeks, trailer reveals, and more for some of the streaming service’s most anticipated shows and movies. Some events will be in-person and some online, and fans can swing by their official Tudum website to see what else is up for next week. There is incredibly limited availability on the free tattoo schedule, so fans should sign up ASAP if they want to partake.
