Pokémon Presents 2024: Exciting Announcements Are Here!

To start Pokémon Day off right, the Pokémon Company has unleashed brand new Pokémon Presents to start the year of Pokémon off right, and updates for existing titles, as well as a brand new one, have been announced.

February 27 is the day Pokémon Red and Green was released in Japan in 1996, and subsequently, it has been coined Pokémon Day. For the past 28 years, The Pokémon Company has used today as a turning point to announce the exciting new developments in the world of Pokémon for the upcoming year. This time, they’ve even released a new Pokémon Presents to commemorate the occasion, and fans can watch it just below.

Pokémon Presents: Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Battle Event

The new Tera raid battle event starts tomorrow, and it features the final evolutions of the very first starter trio: Venusaur, Blastoise and Charizard. The Mighty Venusaur event is up first, and while it starts tomorrow February 28, it will end on March 5. The next event features a Mighty Blastoise and it starts March 6 (right after the Venusaur event concludes) and runs until March 12. On March 13, Charizard returns with the Unrivaled mark to tera raids, allowing fans to catch a Mighty Charizard, and will conclude on March 17. Fans will need either Pokémon Scarlet or Violet to attempt these battles, and if previous tera raid events are any indication, fans will also need some serious strategy to defeat these raids.

A new collaboration between Pokémon GO x Horizons The Series has been announced, and the event brings Charcadet, Armarouge, and Ceruledge to Pokémon GO. The Pikachu wearing Captain’s hat featured in the Netflix exclusive Horizons the Series will also make its way to Pokémon GO, complete with Volt Tackle for the first time.

Pokémon Presents: Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket

Fans looking for a new way to store and play their favourite Pokémon TCG creatures have to look no further, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has been announced. The Pokémon Training Card game creator Creatures Inc., and Masters Ex creator DeNA have teamed up to bring this title to smartphones and will allow friends to battle and trade their favourite creatures on their smart devices. This title will be released sometime in 2024.

The next title in the Pokémon Legends series of games is set to launch in 2025, and it brings trainers back to the Kalos region (or at the very least Lumiose City); the rumoured third title in the X & Y titles has finally come to the surface. While details regarding the title are still incredibly sparse, we now know that the next title won’t take place in Johto or Unova, as was previously teased, hoped for, and rumoured.
