Stray might be hitting consoles next week, but publisher Annapurna Interactive have announced fans can get their hands on a special backpack and harness for all their cat needs.
Taking after the ones seen in the game, the Stray bubble style backpack is made to bring your four-legged friend anywhere you go. The pack is branded and styled after the game, and is made to take a cat up to 25lb, making it one of the more cute tie-in items seen in a long while.
If that were not adorable enough, the Stray Cat harness is a direct replica of the one worn by the protagonist in the game. Sadly Annapurna has made note that the harness doesn’t come with its robotic companion B-12. Buyers will also get a 6ft nylon leash so that your cat can have free rein to go wherever it pleases.
Both items are available for pre-order via the Travel Cat website with the backpack setting you back $139.99 and the harness $39.99. The first wave of shipments is slated to go out by August 31, with a second wave expected on September 21.
First announced back in 2020, Stray is an upcoming adventure game developed by BlueTwelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive. The game has the player step into the role of a cat, in a futuristic cyberpunk inspired world.
Stray leaps onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on July 19. It will also be a part of July PlayStation plus lineup at no additional charge, along with titles like Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, Marvel’s Avengers, Saints Row Gat out of Hell, and five different titles from the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
