Fan Expo Canada is a celebration of fandoms of all backgrounds taking place during the last weekend of August—hosting many celebrities and artists.
Oh, Canada! Conventions are back in full effect this year; Fan Expo Canada 2022 has returned in a big way. Despite the last-minute cancellation from Netflix’s Cobra Kai cast, the Stranger Things cast has been growing—with the newly-added character, Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) leading the charge to join the guest list. One of the biggest fan conventions in Canada will not be one to miss as the Hobbit crew that defied the odds in the original Lord of the Rings trilogy will also be coming.

What to Enjoy At Fan Expo Canada 2022?
There are so many ways to celebrate the fandoms you enjoy: meeting and getting autographs/photographs with the hottest celebrities, discussing spicy topics at celebrity panels and Q&As, shopping for that missing Fortnite x Batman issue you have been dying to get, visiting community meetups, meeting legendary comic creators and attending a workshop to level up your cosplay skills.
Gamers can participate or watch the Magic: The Gathering Open and Pokémon Open. The Bell Canada Esports Challenge Finals will also be taking place August 26-28 at the convention (and livestreamed on Bell’s official Twitch channel). It will be hosting games in special formats such as Valorant 5v5, Rocket League 3v3 and Call of Duty 4v4.
Fans are also highly encouraged to check out The Masquerade Ball for some masked (for your eyes) dancing, giveaways and dressing up in cosplay or Ball attire and of course, you can live out all your cosplay dreams through the convention hall. Buffer Festival is another great event that takes place alongside Fan Expo where the very best in Canadian and international content creators gather to meet fans and show off their latest work and sneak peeks at upcoming projects. There will always be something to do for everyone!

As I already mentioned, a solid list of Stranger Things and LOTR cast members will be there. But even bigger and better than ever, this year Fan Expo Canada will feature multiple cast members from the Clerks movie series—including Kevin Smith’s daughter, Harley Quinn Smith. Joining the reunion crews are some of Canada’s kings of comedy from Kids in the Hall.
