How To Watch Call of Duty Next, Modern Warfare 2 Beta Updates 1

Call of Duty Next will be a livestreamed event in September, revealing everything COD-related planned by Activision and Infinity Ward in the near future.

Clicking heads and shredding your foes will always be on menu! With the LA Thieves recently becoming champions of Call of Duty: League 2022 (CDL), Activision and Infinity Ward announced future game updates will be revealed at Call of Duty Next. It will be a livestreamed event on September 15, 2022. This event would be followed up with the Open Beta Early Access for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 being released the day after.

The COD showcase announced the event will cover topics related to the multiplayer gameplay for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2022), reveal more details on Call of Duty: Warzone, feature live gameplay from famous COD content creators, a chance to receive Early Access Beta Code drops through streams and present more specifics for a Warzone experience on mobile devices.

Activision and Infinite Ward were excited to state how they would be revealing more exclusive footage to fans on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as it would be released on October 28. They also shared that there would be exclusive news pertaining to Call of Duty: Warzone and more updates related to the rumoured drop of Warzone 2.0 and Project Aurora.

For die-hard COD players who have been dying to play the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the official COD Twitter account posted all the details. Interestingly enough, the Open Beta will be released on all platforms but in different phases. PlayStation gamers would be the luckiest as “Weekend One” would be exclusively for PlayStation 4 and 5 on September 16-17 (10 AM PT) for Early Access pre-orders—then September 18-20 for Open Beta to all PlayStation players.

“Weekend Two” would then be open for all platforms (Xbox, PC and PlayStation) on September 22-23 for the Early Access Crossplay Beta for those who pre-ordered. Then, September 24-26 would be the Crossplay Open Beta for all platforms and everyone. The best part about the Beta for those who pre-ordered the Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 2 would be able to utilize their special Vault equipment, such as the Red Team 141 Operators in their special outfits—Ghost, Farah, Price and Soap. This would include the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault being available.

The Call of Duty Next event would also be confirming or denying the speculation that fans think that Warzone could be integrated into Modern Warfare 2. Call of Duty: Warzone launched back in March 2020 with multiple seasons and collaborated with many Activision titles, from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops: Cold War and Vanguard.

The natural progression would be to evolve Warzone to the next level. In relation to Warzone, Call of Duty Next should also bring updates on Project Aurora, a mobile version of Warzone. The first official news broke back on May 11, 2022 and had been known to be in Closed Alpha for now. This could also be a perfect opportunity to get a head start on the Battle Pass, but this was not confirmed as yet.

If you are a massive Call of Duty fan, you do not want to miss the biggest event of the year. Mark your calendars for Call of Duty Next on September 15! The time for the event has yet to be confirmed for now. Check out the livestream through the Activision/Infinity Ward website to catch the event.
