Homelander Brings Justice To Mortal Kombat 1 In New Bloody Trailer

The second-to-last fighter for Mortal Kombat 1‘s Kombat Pack, The Boys‘ Homelander, has finally arrived at the arena in a new trailer showcasing his brand of justice.

Finally, the second-to-last character of the Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Kombat Pack has arrived (in a trailer) at the Mortal Kombat tournament. The Boys’ Homelander, also known as John Gillman, has joined the fray, and in a new bloody trailer, he has uncorked his particular brand of violence that he would swear is rightful justice. Fans can see the trailer below in all its bloody (and milky) glory.

The trailer showcases many of the talents Homelander portrays in his Prime Video/Comic book origin, including the gratuitous use of laser eye attacks. Like Invincible’s Omni-Man, Homelander’s base form is elevated off the ground, and he levitates while neutral instead of standing (Ermac’s neutral stance is also similar). The Mortal Kombat 1 roster also appears to be familiar with the villain’s antics, as Kitana is seen berating the antagonist with attacks on his insecurities. Die-hard fans of The Boys will note that sadly Antony Starr (the voice of the live-action character) did not voice this rendition of the flying ‘hero’ although John Cena and J.K. Simmons did for Peacemaker and Omni-Man, respectively.

With the release of Homelander, this nearly ends the first Kombat Pack DLC wave for Mortal Kombat 1. Previous releases were Omni-Man (Invincible), Quan Chi, Peacemaker (DC’s Peacemaker) and Ermac, with Takahashi Takeda still unreleased. Although the trailer is out, fans still have just a bit longer to wait before they can fight the roster of MK1 with The Seven’s mightiest hero, as Homelander arrives on June 4. Fans can check out the rest of the updates to MK1 by visiting the official Mortal Kombat website.
