Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
The Force is definitely with January, as the first title in the new month bundle is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, resting on the heels of the Game Awards 2022 new gameplay trailer reveal for the follow-up Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The mainly positive CGMagazine review of Fallen Order says, “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an excellent game, both for fans of action-adventure titles and of course, fans of games set in galaxies, far far away,” so for the price of FREE, this game should be nabbed.
Fallout 76
Next in line is the post-apocalyptic MMO that had a staggered release, Fallout 76. But since release, the open-world title has received numerous upgrades that coincide with what is expected out of the vault-riddled wasteland. This MMO is FREE to scoop up with PlayStation Plus for the month of January if even just to take it for a test drive.
Axiom Verge 2
Last on the list of Sci-Fi PlayStation Plus FREE offerings is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Axiom Verge, Axiom Verge 2. This Metroidvania title revamped some of the systems from the original, mainly the exploration aspect, as there are quality improvements such as fast travel implemented. Axiom Verge 2 is an absolute steal at the $0 price range, so fans of platforming, exploration, sci-fi or even sidescrollers should give this one a whirl while they can grab it for free.
