PUBG Mobile's Air Drop Carnival Summer Event Starts Today

PUBG Mobile’s new Summer event, Air Drop Carnival, starts today and runs through August 20, bringing a selection of new content and rewards for players.

A new location called Cool Island has been added to most of PUBG Mobile’s maps, including Erangel, Livik, Nusa, and Sanhok. This island has fittingly Summer-y vibes where players can relax or make use of the new two-person Duckboats (which apparently can also be linked up for an entire team).

There’s a main Air Drop Crate that players can interact with for rewards, but on top of that, each player will get their own personal crate at the start of the event. That crate can be levelled up from Level 1-5 by playing during the event, and as you might expect, a higher crate level means better rewards.

Each Level 5 crate included a permanent emote and permanent legendary set of the player’s choice on top of other pieces. If you’re playing the event, however, make sure you log in on the last few days, as starting on August 18, players will actually be able to open the crates they’ve been levelling.

Finally, DJ Alan Walker has created new music exclusively for PUBG Mobile’s Air Drop Carnival. During the event, his new track, “Land Of The Heroes,” will play while exploring Cool Island. The Alan Walker cosmetic set is being reintroduced to the game for the first time in four years in celebration of the event.

PUBG Mobile first launched in 2017 and is based on PUBG: Battlegrounds, the wildly popular battle royale title. It still retains most of the elements of its console counterpart, with 100-player matches, loads of customization, and more.

PUBG Mobile is available on iOS and Android. PUBG Battlegrounds is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
