Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live was able to showcase the first look into Netflix and Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon film first full trailer.
Zach Snyder himself showed up on stage at Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live to promote his new, upcoming film IP with an update on the film and the game: Rebel Moon. Snyder was able to comment on how he wanted fans of this sci-fi genre to have a lot to look forward to with the world-building he has built. Geoff Keighley and himself talked more on the excitement as they ushered in the world premiere trailer of the first Rebel Moon film coming to Netflix on December 22, 2023.
The trailer showed off more shots of the stunning cast led by The Mummy’s Sofia Boutella, Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam and the acclaimed Anthony Hopkins (voicing a robot, ironically after being in one of his latest films, Transformers: The Last Knight). Other cast include Saw’s Cary Elwes, Jena Malone, Gran Turismo’s Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher and more. It also showed off how much of a mashup Rebel Moon seems to be made with similar elements of Star Wars, The Witcher and Dune. It is a mix of so many things but it is really exciting to see how it has come together to tell a story really driven from Boutella’s Kora character. Be sure to check it out on Netflix near Christmas on December 22.
