Game With Gold will officially end on September 1st, 2023, with September 14th, 2023 marking the date that Xbox Live Gold members will automatically become Xbox Game Pass Core members, with no change in pricing, and have immediate access to a new library of over 25 games. Players can continue to access any Xbox One games they previously redeemed through Games with Gold if they remain a Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate member and regardless of subscription status, any Xbox 360 titles redeemed via Games with Gold in the past will be kept in a player’s library.

Adding new, free games onto Xbox’s basic subscription service is an incredible deal for current subscribers, as those players can now get a smaller, select list of games entirely for free starting in a couple of months. From there, the console and PC versions of the service stay the same, as well as the Ultimate version offering the best selection of games on the market across console and PC.
