Blizzard’s Overwatch 2 will see two in-game collaborations with anime series Cowboy Bebop and Porsche for their latest new electric Macan 4.
Whether it is Fortnite or Minecraft, in-game collaborations have become abundant. Overwatch 2 has been increasing their collaborative efforts as well. This is why they have announced not one but two collaborations this week! The first one was announced yesterday; the Cowboy Bebop-inspired skins will be coming to the game next week. Then, Blizzard announced they would be partnering with auto company Porsche to offer gamers a chance to cop multiple new cosmetics and two legendary skins featuring D.Va in the style of their all-new electric Macan 4 vehicle.
The space pirating world is making its way to Overwatch 2 starting on March 12 (next week). Players will have the awesome opportunity to unlock Cowboy Bebop-inspired skins, emotes, highlight intros, and more for some of Overwatch 2’s most recognizable characters. Music from iconic space western anime will also be featured in Overwatch 2 as part of this event. Here is a list of the skins inspired by one of the most famous anime series:

“We’re honoured to be collaborating with one of the most respected anime series of all time in Cowboy Bebop,” Overwatch 2 Associate Director Aimee Dennett said. “This collaboration is a wonderful way to pay homage to the legendary stories, art, animation, and music of the Cowboy Bebop series. We hope its fans and our players have as much fun with what we’re bringing to Overwatch 2 as we did in creating it.” This will be the second anime series collabs for the game, the first being One Punch Man.
Unveiled today at South by Southwest (SXSW), the D.Va x Porsche collab does not only have two unique skins in-game for Season 10. There will be a life-sized 7ft statue of D.Va’s Porsche skin available for SXSW attendees to see and take pictures with at Brazos Hall at 204 E. 4th St. through March 12. The statue was created by Onyx Forge Studios; this is the same team that has brought other wonderful Overwatch and League of Legends statues to life at events. Also, this D.Va statue may even be coming to other events; be on the lookout for it!
These two collaborations are just some of the peculiar yet interesting steps the iconic FPS game is pushing beyond its in-game borders and into other spaces.
