Since September 2021, PlayStation Plus has been receiving torrential leaks from a French website, and July 2023’s offerings have now been revealed prior to an announcement.
The subscription-based PlayStation Plus Essential service brings new monthly offerings to those that subscribe to the service, and like November and December of 2022, this upcoming July has been on the receiving end of a leak before the official announcement. Also like in December, the French website DeaLabs has spilled the beans regarding the upcoming offerings and it looks as though user Billbil-kun has no intention of stopping. The following are the monthly offerings for Essential Plus subscribers in July.
PlayStation Plus Essential Free Games For July 2023
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (PS5 | PS4)
Although this Call of Duty title was released back in 2020, PlayStation has given it to their subscribers for free in the month of July. It is worth mentioning the PS5 version of Black Ops Cold War is still up for the new retail price $59.99 USD over on the PlayStation Network store, so picking this up for the discounted price of $0 is a must next month to get the cheapest Call of Duty fix around.
Alan Wake Remastered (PS5 | PS4)
This psychological thriller inserts the player into the shoes of the titular Alan Wake, as he suffers from a bout of writer’s block. Alan Wake and his wife elected to take a sabbatical in the town of Bright Falls, Washington, so Alan can combat his greatest adversary (the writer’s block) effectively but he finds a lot more to contend with there. As Wake finds himself entrenched inside his own novel’s (called “Departure”) plot that he doesn’t remember writing, while he searches the atmospheric town for his wife that abruptly goes missing. Grab this one with PlayStation Plus Essential for free in July.
Endling – Extinction is Forever (PS5 | PS4)
The last free title on the list made free next month on PlayStation Plus Essential with a subscription is called Endling – Extinction is Forever, and it is also available on both the PS4 and PS5. This Indie title developed by Herobeat Studios injects the player into the paw pads of the last mother fox on Earth, and it’s up to the player to keep the cub foxes alive in an unforgiving and hostile world. PlayStation fans can get their indie fix with their Essential subscription next month.
